Matthew 11:25-27
King James Version (KJV)
25At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
26Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
27All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

1 Corinthians 1:26-29
King James Version (KJV)
26For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29That no flesh should glory in his presence.

1 Corinthians 3:18-19
King James Version (KJV)
18Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

God want every one to know and love Him. So He makes it simple and easy. " Love your enemies" then you will love every one just like your Father in heaven. Why would God want to decieve man by saying one thing and meaning something else. If you follow the rule of Love then you will forgive also, because that is a part of Love. Remember Jesus said that what ever you do unto the least of these ...... you have done it unto me. To love Jesus is to love your neighbor ( enemies included ).
Matthew 15:7-14
King James Version (KJV)
7Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
10And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Jesus says leave them alone. If you listen or spend too much time with them they will end up decieving you. The blind leading the Blind. Start with love and forgiveness and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you . All things takes time, a week, a year, ten years. It doesn't matter, God will lead you, guide you and send you real help. But He will never violate your free will.
Amen
An interesting post Wilton.
ReplyDeleteYour claim is that you don't need anyone to interpret the Bible for you. Yet as a Catholic you must let the Catholic Church interpret the Bible for you. Therefore your claim is invalid. Either you must let someone do it or you must reject the Catholic Church's claim to be the "infallible interpreter" of God's Word.
So my question to you my friend, which is it? No one, or the Catholic Church?
